- Criminal Records (National Capability)
- Business owners, managers, security personnel and human resources professionals
have enough to worry about than employing an individual with a criminal record. We search
the local Superior and/or Municipal Court by "hand searching" current records at
each court daily. Our researchers physically go to the courts every day to search records.
- WE DO NOT USE "on line" systems or CD-ROM databases which are not timely and
often violate the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act requiring information be the
"latest and most up to date". In addition, "stored data" sources
may contain arrest record information which is unlawful to obtain.
- We provide current information! Searches are available nationwide and provide employers
with a criminal history from the date of disposition, parole or release from imprisonment
(state laws apply).

- In order to be in this database, the applicable county must guarantee to extradite.
Therefore, many outstanding warrants may not be found in this search.
Social Security
Number Verification
- Our borders are out of control. Under the Immigration Reform and Control Act, INS agents
have the right to inspect an employer's records on a three-day notice. If there is an
illegal hire...the employer is not given the benefit of the doubt.
We provide a means to check that the Social Security Number is legitimate. Any names and
up to three past addresses associated with the number would appear. This information
offers incite into other counties where the subject may have lived and AKA's to
search for criminal convictions. The written report on each applicant will identify, as
well, if the number was issued to a person now deceased, if it has been used in any
fraudulent activity or if other names are associated with that number.
Motor Vehicle Report
- Crime is not always isolated to where a person lives or works. We are a mobile society.
By searching an applicant's MVR, we obtain any vehicle code violations within the State.
We see DUI's, Drugs, besides tickets and accidents. In addition, we are able to
validate integrity as some applicants do not appear for court dates and have warrants
issued for their arrest. By providing a means of identifying employees with certain traits
or repetitive behaviors such as multiple DUI's or convictions for Possession of Drugs, we
further protect our Subscribers.
- Clients learn more about an applicants character from a MVR than any other report.
- To protect our Subscribers from being accused of age discrimination, we "white
out" a date of birth that would normally appear on the report.
Prior-Employer
Tracking (Automatic - We do
not charge for service)
- Today it is hard, if not impossible to obtain reliable information from past employers
you know about...What about past employers you don't know about? It is not unusual
for applicants to "conveniently forget" to identify past employers where they
were terminated for cause. By offering a tracking service on every employee searched,
InfoLink can "catch" applicants who fail to list previous employers.
- Just as inquiries are indicated on a credit report, InfoLink identifies
"inquiries" made by InfoLink Subscribers. Although our Subscriber may not
have hired the individual, if the company name doesn't appear on the employment
application, a call should be made to that employer to make sure.
- The Prior-Employer Tracking files are strictly regulated under the Fair Credit Reporting
Act (FCRA) and, therefore, provide protection for both the client and employee.
Past Employer
Reference Checks
- Confirms dates of employment, job (position) held, if they were terminated or left the
company voluntarily, endeavors to ascertain whether employee would be rehired.
- We offer three forms of reference checking: Basic, Developed, or Expanded. Our
clients choose which fits their needs based on the depth of interview they require for the
job position.
Personal Reference
Checks
- We ask several questions: Do you know the applicant? How long have they known applicant?
In what capacity do you know applicant? Tell us about applicant. Would you have any
reservation in recommending applicant for a position with "Subscriber"? May I
have the name of someone else who knows the applicant?
