requesting background checks, viewing reports and securely archiving completed
reports. Our web-based service offers the convenience of entering search
requests, viewing reports and accessing information 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week from anywhere with an Internet connection. Built on client feedback,
Kroll's easy-to-use order entry screens and flexible, robust systems meet
the needs of all businesses large and small. Companies nationwide, from small
businesses to Fortune 500’s with hundreds of users, access Kroll's web-based
service through the same intuitive interface.
Kroll offers three simple methods for requesting searches online.
1) Quickly enter a search request through Kroll's efficient order entry
screen. Simply enter candidate information and select the services you wish to
order (choose from standard packages that you pre-define for positions or
select services a-la-carte); 2) If you conduct a high volume of searches per
year or need to enter several candidates at once, you may utilize Kroll's
proprietary “Multi-Entry” feature; and 3) If you use an applicant tracking
system (ATS) or HRIS, Kroll's
Integrated Background Screening®
will enable you to securely pass stored data to Kroll's order entry screens.
If your search requests need to originate from locations that do not have
Internet access, Kroll also offers an efficient fax service.
Industry-Leading Turnaround Time
The second a search request is entered, Kroll's
automated system routes orders to departments. Within moments, reports such as
Social Security Trace and Credit History are completed and many state
Motor Vehicle Records are completed within an hour. Kroll features real-time
report updates to provide unparalleled speed in our information
delivery. We send an email notification any time a "Hit" is added to a report.
Why wait until a report is complete if the report already contains
disqualifying information? View in-progress reports and you may be able to make
a hiring decision (not to hire) immediately and direct your attention to viable
candidates. Turnaround time on most reports is 2-3 days and several reports are
available instantly. Kroll emails notification of report completion when
reports are available for secure viewing online.

To maintain data integrity and accuracy,
Kroll integrates with court researchers and other vendors. We have automated
Social Security Trace and Credit History Checks by integrating with
TransUnion, so information is up-to-date and available in applicants’ reports
within moments of ordering a search. Kroll has also integrated with state
Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) vendors in order to provide one hour turnaround time
for 40 states and same day turnaround for an additional 8 states. Kroll
vendors are held to the same standard of accuracy and fast, attentive service
that Kroll provides. We have back-up resources for every service and
jurisdiction so that we can utilize other resources immediately if we detect a
problem with our provider.
Kroll's Quality Assurance procedures further ensure accuracy
and legal compliance. We validate data throughout our investigation process
using multiple identifiers and information undergoes a final review before it
is added to candidates’ reports. We go to all lengths to make sure that the

Easy-to-read reports provide a summary
and well-organized sections detail investigation findings. Kroll directs
your attention to sections that may contain disqualifying information by
displaying a notice symbol. If you need to print a report for adverse action,
you can print it directly from your browser, without having to download a copy
to your system or network. After completed reports have been viewed, Kroll
automatically stores them in your secure archive. Access, view
and print reports at any time in the future by browsing archived reports or
using our search feature.
Need to run reports to measure and analyze your screening program results?
Kroll's Management Reports such as Hit Ratio Summary – an
analysis of the number of hits as a percentage of searches conducted – and
other reports will save you time assembling summary information.

Kroll's web service is based on Microsoft’s .NET technology. Our open
architecture allows for flexible integration with most
integration requirements. Kroll's technology includes a fully asynchronous
communications model using XML, SOAP, and Web service. The .NET platform
enables Kroll to make enhancements and add new features within short
development cycles. All service updates and enhancements are automatically
available to you immediately upon login – you don’t have to download or install updates.
Advanced Security and Complete Reliability
Kroll understands the importance of protecting the
data we handle. We use the best available hardware and software products to
ensure secure communications with our clients and vendors. Data transfer is
secured through a global 128-bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. Clients
are authenticated through a three-field password protected login (Company ID,
User ID and Password). During Account Setup, Kroll can establish different
permission levels for authorized users. We can restrict access so certain users
can only request searches, allow others to only view reports, or allow certain
users to do both.

New account implementation is easy. Kroll's web-based
service only requires an Internet connection. No additional hardware is
required and you will not need to install expensive software. We support the
setup of single location accounts as well as layered accounts for corporate,
regional, and divisional access levels with multiple users. We will setup your
account within hours and virtually no training is required to begin using

their accounts are setup and passwords issued.
